![]() Also, doesn't Firestorm cover the lack of AoE for a Gunslinger? Not so with Flame Barrier or Divine Aura. Accidentally bump a flaming tile or a spike trap and it's wasted. The difference is that Firebolt is burst, and its fire status won't require me to be constantly firing for the damage to add up, unlike Quills, which require you to keep hitting your target for as long as the poison is in play.Īlso, I don't like that Shadow Cloak gets dropped immediately if you get hit by anything. Drakon's Firebolt will basically accomplish the same thing as Maskeraith Quills, extra damage. I'm not interested in Maskeraith because I prefer a direct approach to combat, not sneaking around, repositioning, and looking for safe opportunities to take a few shots. Frenzied Firestorm would still let me play a supportive role with damage buffs. I was planning to use Drakon's Backfire Barrier as a means of close-range defense for my Gunslinger loadout, and as a means of evasion and getting out of bad situations with the movement buff. The guy had his question answered, so I figured hijacking it was a better alternative to flooding the first page with yet another thread. Not really the topic at hand, but alright. Also, its good to have the Maskeraith to poison, just in case those pesky silkwings become a problelm. It's shadow cloak ability, which you get in its second form, really helps out, as I believe you are invincible and you lose aggro(?). The Maskeraith is probably the best option of the three, even if it you really don't want it. Thing is, ince the Seraphynx is mainly for support, and since the best ability in my opinion- the heart attack- has a range where you have to be kinda close to enemies to even make it effect them, that kinda defeats the purpose of staying a bit away from enemies. It also has the shield in its final form, which can help you, even as a gunslinger. The Seraphynx is kind of better, due to it having the laser, which has a semi-good range. (And from myself playing with it during the Sprite missions, I can say its for close range) The choice is beteern Sera and Drakon.Well, with guns you keep your distance, right? So technically So Drakon isn't that useful since its brute force. With its skill set, I'd rather use that with a Bomber or Sword loadout. I have Seraphynx at Level 80, and Drakon/Maskeraith at 50.Īnd no, I'm not using Maskeraith as a Gunslinger. I like Heart Attack and Divine Aura, but Flame Barrier would be equally as useful for its utility, and it's a hard pick between the two. ![]()
